Fence and Gate Repair in Contra Costa & Alameda County
A leaning fence or a gate that drags is usually one or two failed posts, not a whole new fence. We reset or replace the posts in concrete, swap out damaged boards and sections, and get gates swinging and latching again.

Fence repair questions we get
- Do you repair fences, or only build new ones?
- We do both. Fence and gate repair is an additional service alongside our main hardscape work. We reset leaning posts, replace broken or rotted posts, boards and sections, and fix sagging gates.
- Can you fix just one leaning or broken post?
- Usually, yes. Most leaning fences come from one or two posts that rotted at the ground or lost their footing. We dig out the old post, set a new one in concrete, and reattach the rails and boards.
- Repair or replace the whole fence?
- If most posts are solid, repairing the damaged sections makes sense. If many posts are rotted or the whole line is leaning, replacing it usually lasts longer. Alonso looks at it in person and tells you honestly which one fits.
- My gate drags or won't latch. Can you fix it?
- Yes. A sagging gate is usually a loose or leaning hinge post, worn hinges, or a frame that has twisted. We reset the post, add bracing or new hardware, and adjust it so it swings and latches cleanly.
- What about a fence shared with a neighbor?
- Shared fences are common. We can give you and your neighbor one written estimate so you can split the work however you agree.
- How much does fence repair cost?
- It depends on how many posts and sections are damaged, the fence material and height, access, and haul-away. We give you a free written estimate after seeing it.
